The Earliest Records
The earliest records about earthquake in China are found in a book named
Records
on the Bamboo Book. It tells that a prehistorical emperor of China ordered Xiahou to
conquered Miao nationality. He experienced an earthquake there,
which happened in the 23rd century B.C.
and it was more than 4000 years from now. This is the earliest record of an earthquake in
China.
