Bingturong
(Arctictis binturong)


  Habitat: dense tropical rainforest and seasonal monsoon rainforest.

  Feeding habits: bite wild fruits or catch small animals with paws and teeth.

  Food: wild fruits, insects and small birds.

  Size: with a body length of 70-80 cm and a tail of 70-80 cm long. Weight: 11-13 kg.

  Habits:  It often acts alone. It acts in big and tall trees and is good at climbing. Its tail is quite flexible and can coil on branches during climbing. It mostly acts in early morning or at dusk. 

  Category: mammalia, beast of prey, civet.

  Distribution: Xishuangbanna of Yunnan. Guangxi of China.

  Level of protection: class I key state protection animal of China.
