Red Pearl-scale with Curled Opercula and Phoenix Tail

Pearl-Scale with Phoenix Tail appeared early in 1950s, and later on a mutant with curled opercula was introduced. The opercula are not complete and branchial filaments are exposed, so it is more difficult to raise than those with normal opercula. However, thanks to adaptation for a long time leading to strong resistance, the morbidity rate is not very high. There are many colors for this variety except red. Red ones have just appeared in recent years. The bright red sets off the white pearls to be especially distinct. Those with big and long tailfin like phoenix are particularly precious and expensive.
